From 14 March Onwards, Upper Thailand Temperatures Will Rise as Summer Normalizes

The Meteorological Department issued its final announcement, warning that 10 provinces remain at risk of "rainfall." From 14 March onwards, Upper Thailand will begin to enter the normal "summer" season, with temperatures rising and hot conditions during the day.

The fifth bulletin states that the northern region will continue to experience thunderstorms and occasional strong gusts of wind, including lightning in some areas, due to westerly wind currents moving from Myanmar across the north into Upper Laos. Additionally, a moderate high-pressure system or cool air mass from China is spreading over the northeast, east, and the South China Sea.

Afterwards, starting from 14 March 2026, Upper Thailand will begin to experience normal summer weather, with decreasing rainfall, rising temperatures, and hot daytime conditions.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to beware of dangers from the summer storms by avoiding open spaces, large trees, unstable structures, and billboards. Farmers should reinforce fruit trees and prepare to protect agricultural products and livestock from potential damage. They should also take care of their health during this period of changing weather conditions.
