Kamphaeng Phet Egg Prices Set to Rise by 5 Baht per Tray Following Market Trends

In Kamphaeng Phet, egg prices are set to rise, expected to increase by 5 baht per tray following market forces and higher costs from farms. Most customers understand the situation.

On 15 March 2026 GMT+7, reporters surveyed the egg price situation in Kamphaeng Phet province. Visiting major egg retailers such as Juthamas Egg Shop at 57/14 Municipal Road 1, Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District, they found that trading remained lively but sellers were preparing to adjust prices in line with market trends in the near future.

When asked, shop owners and wholesale and retail egg traders said there has been no price increase yet. They continue to sell eggs at the old price because they still have a considerable stock purchased at previous costs. They want to clear this stock first to avoid immediately impacting consumers’ living expenses.

However, the traders said that once current egg stocks are sold out, new batches will have to be priced higher inevitably, reflecting market mechanisms and rising farm costs.

“We are still selling at the old price because we have leftover stock, but when the new batch arrives, prices will likely increase following the market, probably by about 5 baht per tray,” they said.

Residents wanting to buy eggs at the old price can still find them at wholesale shops until existing stock runs out. Additionally, local shops continue to offer services like home delivery to help customers amid an economic climate that requires close monitoring of consumer goods prices.

Traders predict that once the old egg stock is sold out, new stock will be priced higher due to market forces and increased costs. They expect an average price hike of about 5 baht per tray for all egg sizes, including other types like duck eggs, salted eggs, and century eggs.

Before the upcoming price increase, shops have continuously informed customers in advance so regular buyers and the general public can prepare. Most customers understand the situation and necessity, knowing that farm-level costs have indeed risen.
