Concerns over diesel and gasoline prices rising tomorrow (18 Mar) have led many drivers in Uthai Thani to queue up tightly at gas stations to fill their tanks.
At 3:00 PM on 17 March 2026, reporters observed the atmosphere at PTT Porntavee station located at the Sakae Krang intersection on Route 333, Mueang District, Uthai Thani Province. Many pickup trucks and diesel trucks were lined up to refuel, worried about a price increase scheduled for tomorrow. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Pipat Ratchakitprakarn revealed that he would hold a meeting this evening to consider the fuel price hike planned for 18 March 2026, assuring that diesel prices would be controlled not to exceed 33 baht per liter.
Station staff reported that today all fuel types—Gasohol 95, Gasohol 91, and diesel—were fully available, but few vehicles using gasohol were queuing, numbering almost countable on one hand. It is expected that more gasohol users will queue after work to stock up. Meanwhile, pickups and trucks had been lining up since noon, likely fearing the rumored price increase tomorrow. Similar scenes of long queues at various gas stations have become increasingly common.
