Most recently, on 18 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Seri, the teacher involved, spoke out about the incident: "The student is in Grade 6 and has a habit of lacking responsibility. When assigned work, he fails to submit any results. I admit that my actions were excessively harsh. However, my intentions were good—I wanted him to develop responsibility. Since he is in Grade 6, if he doesn't submit assignments, he will receive no scores, which will affect his graduation and progression to secondary school."
Nevertheless, I must sincerely apologize to the student, the parents, fellow teachers, school administrators, and society. I admit that I did act, losing self-control, engaging in violent behavior against the student. As a teacher, I cannot abandon my duty to teach students—not only academic knowledge but also discipline and responsibility to help change their behavior. However, all my actions were done without mindfulness or restraint, resulting in social condemnation and criticism from many. At this time, I fully accept all responsibility."
