Korat Chicken Eggs Price Rises by 5 Baht per Tray Due to Fuel Costs

Chicken eggs in Korat have risen by 5 baht per tray. Vendors are appealing for diesel prices to be stabilized, fearing this will affect the public.

On 18 Mar 2026 GMT+7, reporters surveyed egg prices in Sikhio District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The survey found egg prices increased by 5 baht per tray: size 4 eggs at 105 baht, size 3 at 110 baht, size 2 at 120 baht, size 1 at 125 baht, and size 0 at 140 baht per tray. This rise is partly due to increased fuel prices, especially diesel, which is a key factor in transportation costs.

Praew, an employee at an egg shop, said egg prices have risen over the past 1-2 days, starting from the farm gate. Her shop has also raised prices by 5 baht per tray. Customers have not complained, as most understand the situation is necessary due to current fuel price conditions. Other products have also raised prices accordingly.

As both a citizen and business operator, she hopes the government will help cap product prices, especially diesel fuel, to prevent further increases that could negatively impact the public.
