
The Fuel Suppression Center Region 1 sent officials to inspect the oil depot in Ang Thong Province and found the diesel fuel meets quality standards. They also set a three-day deadline for the presentation of import-export documents, warning that failure to comply would result in imprisonment and fines.
Following a raid by the Consumer Protection Police Division on an oil depot in Ang Thong Province after complaints of diesel being sold at 40.50 baht per liter, authorities found 331,000 liters of fuel in stock. At 16:00 on 20 March 2026, at the oil depot located along the Asia Highway in Talat Kruad Subdistrict, Mueang District, Ang Thong Province, officials from the Fuel Suppression Center Region 1, along with local administration, excise, commerce, and energy provincial offices, summoned oil depot representatives from Mueang District for information and requested import-export documents tracing fuel movements through the depot. This was to verify the actual stock levels. However, officials from both Ang Thong and Bangkok depots have yet to produce the documents.
Mr. Kongkiat Kittikhun, Ang Thong’s provincial energy officer, stated that authorities have formally notified the owners to submit import-export documents within three days, with the deadline on 23 March 2026. Failure to comply constitutes an offense under Section 30 of the Fuel Trade Act. Traders under Section 10 who fail to comply face penalties under Section 56 (3), including imprisonment for up to one year, fines up to 100,000 baht, or both.
Regarding the inspection of diesel and Gasohol 95 and 91 fuel samples taken from the tanks, officials found all samples met the required quality standards.
