The Royal Thai Police has permitted oil transport trucks to operate 24 hours a day across all provinces until 30 April 2026.
On 20 March 2026, Police Lieutenant General Yingyos Thepjumnong, spokesperson for the Royal Thai Police, announced that Police General Kittirat Phanphet, Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police and head of traffic authorities nationwide, has issued a regulation allowing a relaxation for oil transport operations to address the Middle East regional situation. This measure aims to manage traffic for oil transportation to ensure fast, widespread, and sufficient delivery to meet demand.
The ongoing high tension in the Middle East has disrupted transportation in several areas and affected the overall fuel supply situation for the people of Thailand.
Therefore, the Ministry of Energy, oil trading groups, and the Royal Thai Police have assessed the situation and implemented measures to improve the distribution of oil to service stations nationwide to meet daily public demand. This also manages traffic for oil deliveries across the country and builds public confidence regarding the national oil situation.
Consequently, the Royal Thai Police has authorized oil transport trucks to operate 24 hours a day in Bangkok, its metropolitan area, and other provinces from 20 March until 30 April 2026.
