The Meteorological Department forecasts the weather for the next 7 days, warning that on 22-23 March 2026, Upper Thailand will experience hot weather with thunderstorms and some strong gusty winds.
On 22 March 2026, the Meteorological Department reported the general weather outlook for 22-28 March 2026, stating that during 22-23 March 2026, Upper Thailand will have hot daytime temperatures, with thunderstorms and some strong gusty winds. This is due to a low-pressure area caused by heat covering Upper Thailand, while southerly and southeasterly winds prevail over the region.
From 24-28 March 2026, Upper Thailand will generally have hot weather with haze during the daytime and very hot conditions in some areas of the North and Central regions. There will be isolated thunderstorms due to the continuing low-pressure heat covering Upper Thailand. Meanwhile, the southerly and southeasterly winds affecting the lower Northeastern, lower Central, and Eastern regions will weaken.
The southern region will have little rain and hot daytime weather throughout the period, as weak easterly and southeasterly winds blow over the Gulf of Thailand, the South, and the Andaman Sea. Waves in the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea will be about 1 meter high, rising above 1 meter in areas experiencing thunderstorms.
People in Upper Thailand are advised to be cautious of dangers from thunderstorms and strong gusty winds by avoiding open spaces, large trees, weak structures, and unsecured billboards. Farmers should reinforce fruit trees and prepare to prevent damage to agricultural products and livestock. Additionally, they should take care of their health due to the hot weather throughout the period.
