Friends ordered fried meatballs to offer as merit at the funeral wake of "Neng Mengjai," a famous comedian, after he appeared in a dream craving fried meatballs. They also recounted experiencing the scent of incense throughout the journey home.
On 24 March 2026 at Wat Klang Klong Si, Village No. 5, Lat Sawai Subdistrict, Lam Luk Ka District, Pathum Thani Province, Mrs. Chanantida Meemark, 62, eldest sister of Mr. Arthit Meemark, known as "Neng Mengjai," a famous comedian, along with Ms. J.J. Yuwachat, 42, and Mr. Santi Chonlai, 34, a former radio host, ordered 50 servings of fried meatballs for merit-making at Neng Mengjai's funeral wake. This followed the housekeeper of comedian Ball Chuenyim sharing that Neng appeared in a dream expressing a desire to eat fried meatballs.
Mr. Santi Chonlai revealed that he, together with Neng's eldest sister, his wife Je, and other siblings, brought fried meatballs to offer at the temple. Earlier, Ball Chuenyim's housekeeper dreamt that Neng borrowed a frying pan to cook meatballs, an unusual and intriguing dream. While preparing to make merit, Mr. Santi searched for a fried meatball vendor since before 11 a.m. but found none until one appeared just in time, fulfilling the merit-making wish. Additionally, a known vendor contributed sago with pork filling as part of the offering.
Personally, Mr. Santi interpreted the dream's frying pan as symbolizing the number 2, and the meatballs possibly representing double digits or zero; he favors the number 240. He also described a miraculous experience: during the return trip, he continuously smelled incense as if Neng was accompanying him home.
