At 07:00 on 26 March 2026, reporters observed the scene at Bangchak gas station in Sawankhalok Market, Muang subdistrict, Sawankhalok district, Sukhothai province. Since 6 a.m., residents have been taking queue cards to buy diesel in jerrycans and to fill their vehicles, despite all fuel types having risen by 6 baht per liter.
This morning, following the price hike announced the previous night, the atmosphere, which previously featured long vehicle queues, has calmed compared to before. Those refueling vehicles can take a queue card and fuel without long waits, while those buying Gasohol fuel do not need queue cards and can fill up immediately.
Today, the gas station allows car refueling up to 1,000 baht per vehicle, and jerrycan purchases are limited to 500 baht per person. The pump prices today are: diesel at 39.48 baht per liter, high premium fuel at 57.38 baht per liter, Gasohol 91 at 41.22 baht per liter, and Gasohol 95 at 41.59 baht per liter.
