C&G Receives Award Reinforcing Model Waste-to-Energy Plant Friendly to Community and Environment

The Department of Industrial Promotion, Ministry of Industry, presented the CSR-DIW Continuous Award 2025 to C&G, reaffirming it as a model waste-to-energy plant that is environmentally friendly and supportive of the community.

On 30 Mar 2025 GMT+7, reporters reported that the Department of Industrial Promotion, Ministry of Industry, awarded the CSR-DIW Continuous Award 2025 for corporate social responsibility standards to C&G Environmental Protection (Thailand) Co., Ltd., operator of the Nong Khaem environmentally friendly waste-to-energy project. This marks the sixth consecutive year of receiving the award, demonstrating sustained success on the path to sustainability. It made history as the only waste-to-energy project enterprise in Bangkok, among 418 factories nationwide, to consistently maintain national-level standards. Mr. Setthaphat Kamonsupparayoon, Manager of Community Relations at C&G, accepted the award plaque from Mr. Plawut Wongwiwat, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Industrial Promotion. The ceremony was chaired by Mr. Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, Minister of Industry, at the Challenger Building, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, recently.

The CSR-DIW Continuous Award 2025 not only certifies compliance with ISO 26000 standards across seven key dimensions: Corporate Governance, Human Rights, Labor Practices, Environment, Fair Operating Practices, Consumer Issues, and Community Involvement and Development, but also reflects C&G's tangible actions through projects generating positive impact for the Nong Khaem community and broader society. These include initiatives such as Zero Waste & Circular Economy, the hazardous waste-for-egg exchange program, and donating old calendars to the blind.In its second year, to pass on tothe Educational Technology Center for the Blind, under the Foundation for the Blind in Thailand under the Royal Patronage. Social well-being projects include care for vulnerable groups, prevention of community epidemics such as rabies and dengue fever, and promotion of drug-free sports grounds for youth. Economic sustainability efforts involve vocational training to generate income, enabling residents to create earnings for themselves andtheir families, along with projectsfor young farmers in schools, using their produce for school lunches and local market sales, thereby ensuring food security and sustainable income generation.
