
The Commander of the Marine Corps Command has ordered the removal from post and reassignment at the border of 17 officers under his command, including Lt. Cmdr. Thammanoon Wanna, Commander of the Trat Marine Task Force, who is being transferred to the Navy's Humanitarian Mine Action Unit. Tomorrow, the people of Trat will join in sending their support.
On 31 March 2026, Rear Admiral Apichat Subprasert, Commander of the Marine Corps Command, issued an order removing 17 officers from their posts and reassigning them to border duties. Among them is Lt. Cmdr. Thammanoon Wanna, Commander of the Trat Marine Task Force, who is being transferred to the Navy's Humanitarian Mine Action Unit.
Lt. Cmdr. Thammanoon Wanna told reporters he thanks all the people of Trat for their unity and encouragement toward him and all soldiers during the successful operation to reclaim sovereignty over Ban Sam Lang from Cambodia last December 2026.
Whenever problems arise, Lt. Cmdr. Thammanoon immediately visits the areas involved, whether Ban Sam Lang or the container barrier zone at Thamoda, never abandoning his troops. He also thanked the residents of all evacuated homes for their sacrifice in relocating to safe areas, allowing soldiers to perform their duties fully during this period.
