
The Department of Land Transport invites bids for special vehicle license plates under the "4ขข" special category on 4-5 April 2026. Interested parties can pre-register at www.tabienrod.com,
On 1 April 2026, Mr. Thitiphat Thaichongrak, Director of the Automotive Engineering Division and spokesperson for the Department of Land Transport, stated that the department, through the Road Safety Fund, is organizing an auction for private passenger vehicle license plates (up to seven seats) under the special "4ขข" category for Bangkok, titled "The Miracle of 4ขข: Good Plates for the Metropolis." These plates are unique in their letters and numbers symbolizing progress and good fortune, reflecting wealth, stability, and success—ideal for those seeking to enhance auspiciousness in all aspects of life. Owning a "4ขข" special plate represents more than ownership; it signifies possessing something exclusive and unparalleled worldwide. The department will conduct the auction on 4-5 April 2026 through three channels:
1. In-person auction at the auction room in IMPACT Exhibition Center, Muang Thong Thani, Amber 1 Room,
(located in the Lobby Hall 7 area).
2. Online auction at www.tabienrod.com,
3. Telephone auction. Interested individuals can pre-register for the auction now at the Department of Land Transport, Building 2, 5th Floor, orwww.tabienrod.com.
All proceeds from the auction will be allocated to the Road Safety Fund to support and promote road safety initiatives, including campaigns to reduce traffic accidents, funding research on road safety, and providing equipment to assist disabled individuals affected by road accidents.
The Department of Land Transport spokesperson added that on 18 April 2026, the department will also auction 120 special license plate numbers featuring words or phrases such as Heng 123, Power 8888, Success 9, Wealth 678, Celebrate 99, Grand 7, and others. Interested bidders can participate via two channels: in-person at Building 6, 7th Floor, Department of Land Transport, and online at www.tabienrod.com.
