Sakchai Tangho promotes the "Pattaya 24 Hours" model in his bid for Pattaya mayor, focusing on quickly solving grassroots-level issues along with strategies to increase income for local residents and entrepreneurs.
On 1 April 2026, Sakchai Tangho unveiled his vision as a candidate for Pattaya mayor, accompanied by a team of 24 candidates for the Pattaya City Council. The event titled "Pattaya 2030: Challenge Towards Change" highlighted the "24-hour mayor" concept aimed at elevating the management of the tourist city to international standards, attracting over 300 attendees.
Sakchai Tangho stated that as an international tourist city, Pattaya needs a management system that operates "around the clock" to promptly address issues faced by residents and visitors. Key policies include a 24-hour incident reporting center to quickly resolve urgent problems such as street lighting, road damage, and community safety in real time. Additionally, the Ease of Doing Business initiative will digitize government permits and services to reduce steps and costs, enhancing efficiency for entrepreneurs and startups.
Beyond city management, the focus is also on uplifting the grassroots economy to sustainably increase residents' incomes. This includes organizing tourism events throughout the year to distribute visitors across seasons, establishing the Pattaya Skill Hub to develop workforce skills aligned with the new economy in the EEC area, and promoting the Local Linkage Economy to connect large businesses with local entrepreneurs, ensuring money circulates directly within communities.
Sakchai Tangho added that the key goal is to develop Pattaya into a tourist city with modern, transparent, and accountable management systems that improve residents' quality of life. Pattaya must be managed to meet global standards, with its citizens achieving tangible income improvements under a system that is transparent and legally accountable.
