Most recently, at 15:10 on 6 April 2026, Phuket Kusoldharm Foundation’s diving team reported finding the body of Mr. Komphet Wandee, the missing young guide, trapped beneath the sunken speedboat wreckage after an extensive search since the incident.
Authorities initially recovered the body from the sea to send for a detailed autopsy at Vachira Phuket Hospital to determine the exact cause of death. The cause of the explosion and fire on the speedboat remains under thorough investigation by Phuket forensic officials.
