4th Decade of Bualuang Painting Exhibition Showcases Works by 52 Award-Winning Artists

The Bualuang Foundation, in collaboration with the Queen Sirikit Art Gallery, is organizing the "4th Decade of Bualuang Painting" exhibition from 21 March to 24 May 2026, featuring works by 52 artists who have previously won awards.

The Bualuang Foundation and the Queen Sirikit Art Gallery are hosting the "4th Decade of Bualuang Painting" exhibition, which compiles works by artists who won awards in the Bualuang Painting competitions from the 31st to the 40th editions (2009–2018). The exhibition runs from 21 March to 24 May 2026. Artist Chuan Leekpai will preside over the opening ceremony at the Queen Sirikit Art Gallery on Sunday, 5 April 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

The Bualuang Foundation has continuously held the Bualuang Painting competition for over 50 years. It conceived the idea to exhibit past award-winning works alongside new pieces by the same artists to showcase their development in thought, technique, and skill. The exhibition is divided into three decade-long periods: the 1st Decade exhibition in 2008, the 2nd Decade in 2010, and the 3rd Decade in 2012. This 4th Decade exhibition features works by 52 artists who won awards in competitions 31 through 40 (2009–2018), displaying a total of 141 pieces selected by the artists themselves.

The exhibition brings back significant award-winning works from three categories—traditional Thai painting, traditional-style Thai painting, and contemporary painting. This not only honors the distinguished Bualuang artists but also reflects their creative ideas and processes across different eras, allowing visitors to observe the evolution of each artist's work.

Visitors can view the exhibition on all four floors of the Queen Sirikit Art Gallery from 21 March to 24 May 2026, daily from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., except Wednesdays when the gallery is closed.
