
Chaiyaphum Governor opened the Bueng Lahan Red Lotus Field Tourism Festival "Bueng Lahan Festival On Tour 2026" aiming to attract tourists and stimulate the economy.
On 8 April 2026 at Bueng Lahan, Ban Makluea, Ban Kok Subdistrict, Chatturat District, Chaiyaphum Province, Mr. Anan Nakniyom, the governor of Chaiyaphum, presided over the opening ceremony of the Bueng Lahan Red Lotus Field Tourism Festival. “Bueng Lahan Festival On Tour”
Mr. Anan Nakniyom stated that Chatturat District has Bueng Lahan, a large freshwater lake with a rich ecosystem and a wooden bridge, which is a key asset and an important opportunity for area development. In addition, Chatturat District is well-prepared for development efforts involving government agencies, local authorities, merchants, and the community, who collaborate effectively to drive progress.
Therefore, Chaiyaphum Province has decided to allocate budget support to Chatturat District to carry out a project promoting tourism at Bueng Lahan. This aims to build the identity of Chatturat District around Bueng Lahan, making it prominent and widely recognized as an eco-tourism destination, attracting visitors from other provinces to enjoy its natural beauty. This will help stimulate the economy and distribute income to residents of Chaiyaphum Province.
Bueng Lahan can be accessed via several routes, including within Lahan Subdistrict along Route 201 connecting Chaiyaphum and Sikhiu, or via the road between Chatturat District and Nong Bua Rawe District. Tourists can visit and admire the red lotus fields daily from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., when the lotus flowers bloom beautifully in the morning sunlight. Visitors can also take photos from scenic spots or enjoy rowing boats prepared for them to capture stunning images.
Within the red lotus field area, besides boat tours, visitors can observe various bird species inhabiting the area, adding color and beauty to the environment. It is ideal for tourists who appreciate natural beauty. In the evening, visitors can still enjoy the atmosphere or watch the sunset at the lotus fields. Officials have also provided binoculars for bird watching. Entry to visit the red lotus fields is free of charge.
