
The Ruamkatanyu Foundation, together with the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation and the Samut Prakan Provincial Public Health Office, supports a training program for Samut Prakan Provincial Police to enhance their skills in basic first aid, CPR, and SOS hand signals.
On 9 April 2026, the Ruamkatanyu Foundation, in collaboration with the Samut Prakan Provincial Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation and the Samut Prakan Provincial Public Health Office, provided instructors and a venue to train Samut Prakan Provincial Police officers.
Somsak Palawat, the Foundation's manager, assigned Thitikorn Sewatanan, deputy manager, and Piyalak Thinkaeo, head of operations, to lead instructors from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation's Community Emergency Medical Learning Center. Alongside them were Sukkanaya Singhthong, head of prevention and operations from the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office of Samut Prakan, and Theerathep Somrang, an instructor from the Samut Prakan Provincial Public Health Office. They welcomed Samut Prakan Provincial Police officers to a training program covering the international SOS hand signal for requesting help, basic first aid, and basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
The program aimed to equip officers with knowledge and skills in basic first aid and CPR, increasing the chances of recovery from disability or death for patients experiencing cardiac arrest, cerebral ischemia, or stroke. Training included use of automated external defibrillators (AED) and the international SOS hand signal system. Three hundred officers participated, divided into two groups of 150 each, including the police housekeeping team from Samut Prakan.
The training opening was honored by Pol. Maj. Gen. Apirak Vechakarnjana, Deputy Commander of the Region 1 Police, serving as chairman. Pol. Maj. Gen. Phumin Singhasut, Commander of Samut Prakan Provincial Police, greeted and encouraged the trainees. Pol. Col. Tharakhon Lertpornjaroen, Deputy Commander of Samut Prakan Provincial Police, delivered the opening report.
