They also joined in fun with famous artists and retro Ramwong dancing, highlighting the charm of local Songkran that blends lively celebration with the preservation of Thai New Year cultural traditions—Korat's cultural heritage—harmoniously. This was held with safety measures, traffic facilitation, and organized water play zones to ensure everyone enjoyed safely.
On the multipurpose stage, contemporary cultural performances titled 'Proud City People K-BATTLE DAY OF UNITY' showcased the “DAY OF UNITY,” a day of togetherness to declare to the world that Korat is a city of culture, arts, and global creativity. All sectors are pushing Korat to step onto the world stage.
K-BATTLE is the largest street culture festival in ASEAN, running continuously for 17 years, featuring world-class artists from over 15 countries.
Thousands of tourists playing water during Songkran moved their bodies dancing to the energetic beats of DJs including THE DOGGY DIRTYZ from Nakhon Ratchasima College of Dramatic Arts, cover dance groups B-maiden and Catzy, and a special HIPHOP DANCE performance from K-BATTLE, creating a lively and joyous atmosphere.
