Two LGBTQ Group Members Surrender After Restraining and Biting Man During Songkran Water Festival

Two members of an LGBTQ group have surrendered after restraining and biting a man during the Songkran water festival in Phichit, leaving bruise marks. They quickly boarded a vehicle and left, refusing to giveinterviews.The media reported that one more suspect has not yet come forward to face charges.

The case involves Mr. Tui (pseudonym), 24, an online seller, who presented evidence to Lt. Natthaphon Net-yim, deputy investigator at Mueang Phichit Police Station, to press charges for molestation by an LGBTQ group that harassed him during Songkran water activities onthe road beside Tang.On 14 April, he was smeared with powder on his face until he could hardly see. Then, the suspects molested him by groping his groin and biting his neck, leaving bruises. He struggled and managed to break free.


The latest update: This morning (17 Apr 2026), Mr. Tui and his guardian went to meet investigators for further proceedings.

Meanwhile, the suspects, Mr. A (pseudonym) and Mr. B (pseudonym), came to acknowledge the charges as summoned. Both appeared tense and told waiting reporters thatWe do not wish to be photographed or give any interviews.Regarding the motive behind the incident,

reporters noted that after completing their meeting with investigators, the suspects’ friends quickly ushered Mr. A and Mr. B out of the police station and took them home immediately without offering apologies or explanations.

Pol. Col. Lak Rattanathaworn, superintendent of Mueang Phichit Police Station, revealed that there are three suspects in this case. Two suspects have appeared as summoned and have been charged with acts related to molestation and public sexual harassment. The third suspect has yet to come forward. Investigators have issued a summons, and if he still does not appear, a warrant will be issued.
