Khao Yai National Park Temporarily Closes Lam Takhong Campsite Due to Critical Water Shortage

Khao Yai National Park has announced a temporary closure of tourism activities due toa decrease inwater levels that iscritical.Particularly in the area of the "Lam Takhong Campsite." From 24 April to 30 April 2026.

On 18 April 2026, Khao Yai National Park announced the temporary closure of the "Lam Takhong Campsite" from 24 April 2026 to 30 April 2026.

This is due to a critically reduced supply of water for consumption and use within the park, especially at the Lam Takhong Campsite. The water storage pond there is small and shallow, causing the water to become cloudy and emit an unpleasant odor, making it insufficient for serving overnight visitors. This also affects the work of park staff. The closure is temporary and may be changed if water conditions return to normal earlier than expected, with further announcements to follow.
