
In Phitsanulok, "Aof," lead singer of the band Tosniyom and a former The Voice auditionee, lost control of his car which veered off the road and struck two utility poles, breaking them and causing his death at the scene.
At 22:30 on 19 April 2026, Police Lieutenant Kasemsit Sangthuenpong, investigator at Mueang Phitsanulok Police Station, was notified of a fatal car crash involving a sedan hitting utility poles on the Phitsanulok-Sukhothai road, Moo 3, Ban Krang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phitsanulok Province. He, along with Phitsanulok Rescue, Prasatboonsathan Foundation, Camp Somdej Phra Naresuan Maharaj Hospital rescue team, and on-duty physicians from Phutthachinarat Hospital, went to investigate.
At the scene, two utility poles were broken. Nearby was a black Honda City sedan with Phitsanulok license plates, damaged and off the road. Inside the car was a deceased male identified later as Kritsada Hawichit, 34, from Phitsanulok. He had a laceration on his face and severe chest trauma. Documents found inside included official papers, educational certificates, and a badge with The Voice 2024 audition number V10899, along with a mobile phone.
Police Lieutenant Kasemsit Sangthuenpong said initial investigations revealed that Kritsada, a singer and lead vocalist of Tosniyom, had posted on his Facebook page "Aof Kritsada Hawichit" at 21:00 from a party at Ban Nakhum, Nakhum Subdistrict, Phrom Phiram District, Phitsanulok Province. It is believed that after the party, he was driving home or to work when he lost control near the crash site, causing the car to veer off and collide with two utility poles, breaking them in two places and overturning off the roadside, resulting in his immediate death.
Rescue teams from Phitsanulok and Prasatboonsathan Foundation transported the body to the forensic department of Phutthachinarat Hospital for cause of death examination before handing the body to relatives for traditional funeral rites.
