
Due to accumulating smoke pollution, Erawan National Park has announced the closure of tourism activities—and campingtemporarily due tothe situation ofwildfires and rising PM 2.5 dust levels,exceeding safety standards,which have an impact onhealthcontinuously.
On 21 April 2026, the Facebook pageErawan National Parkissued an announcement temporarily closing tourism and camping within the park due to the effects of wildfires and smoke haze.
It stated that due to the impact of wildfires and smoke haze, as well as current weather conditions causing a high accumulation of dust particles with a 24-hour average PM 2.5 concentration of 42.9 micrograms per cubic meter, exceeding the standard limits, this level poses health risks to the public, tourists, and park staff. Additionally, staff must continue firefighting efforts in the area.
Erawan National Park has considered that for the safety and health of visitors, it is necessary to close tourist sites temporarily. Combined with damage caused by wildfires, under the authority of Sections 20 and 25 of the National Park Act B.E. 2562 (2019), the park announces a temporary closure of tourism and camping due to wildfire and smoke haze with PM 2.5 dust pollution.
The closure is effective from 21 April 2026 at 13:00 GMT+7 onward until the wildfire situation improves. The park continues its duties under the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation as usual.
