Regarding the death of Dr. Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth, also known as Doctor Serth, owner of Bangkok Hospital Group (BDMS), Bangkok Airways, and the digital TV station PPTV, a top 10 Thai shareholder billionaire, he passed away after several years of illness at the age of 93, as previously reported.

Dr. Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth was born on 26 March 1933 in Bangkok. He was the fourth of ten children of Mr. Thongyu and Mrs. Boonrod Prasarttong-Osoth. His wife is Nawalalee Prasarttong-Osoth, and together they had four children.

Education: Primary and secondary education at Assumption College Bangrak, Preparatory education at Triam Udom Suksa School, pre-medical studies at the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, March 1960. Additional qualifications include the National Defence College (Class 1) in 1989, honorary Doctor of Arts in Marketing from Christian University in 2007, honorary Doctor of Business Administration in Aviation Management from Kasem Bundit University in 2007, honorary Doctor of Business Administration in Management from Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi in 2016, honorary Doctor of Medicine from Mahidol University in 2017, and honorary Doctor of Business Administration in Management from Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University on 21 March 2018.

He began working in the surgical department at Siriraj Hospital as a resident doctor for five years. He later became chairman of Bangkok Sahakol Company and advisor to Union Oils Company, gaining recognition for his significant role in construction and coordination with the United States, particularly in oil exploration in Thailand, rather than for his medical work. He was elected president of the Siriraj Medical Alumni Association, board member of Aeronautical Radio of Thailand in 1993, director of Prasarttong-Osoth Company, CEO of Bangkok Airways, chairman of Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS), chairman of Bangkok Airways, and chairman of the management boards of Bangkok Hospital, Samitivej Hospital, BNH Hospital, Phyathai Hospital, Paolo Hospital, Nonthavej Hospital, as well as CEO of BDMS.

Additionally, Dr. Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth owned the digital television media business, PPTV HD 36, which broadcasts news and entertainment.
