At approximately 13:30 on 21 Apr 2026 GMT+7, a reefer ambulance van from Kanthararom Hospitalwas driving to delivera patient to Sisaket Hospital when it lost control and hit an electric pole on Highway 226, the Sisaket-Kanthararom route, near Kraiphakdi Wittayakhom School in Pho Subdistrict, Mueang District, Sisaket Province. Recently, reporters obtained dashcam footage from a Facebook user,named "Om Van," who recorded the incident while driving from Ubon Ratchathani on personal business. The footage shows the Kanthararom Hospital reefer van traveling in the right lane toward Sisaket city. Near the crash site, the van swerved left and violently collided with the electric pole, startling the dashcam owner. The vehicle was badly damaged and four people were injured.
Regarding the condition of the four injured, the driver sustained minor injuries to his left leg, while the 18-year-old patient and a 15-year-old accompanying relative also suffered minor injuries. All three are now stable and under close medical supervision.
The nurse seated with the patient in the rear of the van suffered severe injuries. Doctors found multiple internal organ bruises and several broken bones. Although conscious, she remains in a coma. Authorities have urgently transferred her to Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital in Ubon Ratchathani for specialist treatment.
