The Meteorological Department announces "Severe Thunderstorm" Warning No. 7 for multiple provinces "Heavy rain - strong gusty winds - hail"


25 April 2026 GMT+7The Meteorological Department's websiteannounces the situation regardingsevere thunderstorms over upper Thailand (impact lasting until 25 April 2026)Warning No. 7 (39/2569) states that the western and lower parts of the Northeast, the North, the Central region including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the East will experience severe thunderstorms characterized by heavy rain, strong gusty winds, hail, and possibly lightning in some areas. This is due to a high-pressure system or cold air mass spreading from China covering the Northeast and the South China Sea, while upper Thailand remains generally hot.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to beware of dangers from severe thunderstorms by avoiding open spaces, standing under large trees, unstable structures, and advertising signs. Farmers should reinforce their fruit trees and prepare to protect crops and livestock from possible damage. Additionally, they should take care of their health during this weather change.
