A young teacher reached his limit. "A whole tray of boiled eggs." They were stolen from the pot, prompting him to install CCTV to catch the thief. It turned out the culprit was not a person but a crow from next door.
On 25 Apr 2026 GMT+7, reporters said CCTV in front of the teacher’s dormitory captured the thief who stole boiled eggs the teacher had prepared to eat. Previously, on 23 Apr 2026 GMT+7, an entire tray of boiled eggs was stolen from the pot outside his room.
Mr. Anuwit Thiamkratok, also known as Teacher James, said he usually spends his free time boiling many eggs to store in the refrigerator for convenience. On 23 Apr, he did the same but left the eggs in the pot overnight without covering it. The next morning, the entire tray was gone. He asked the janitor and students, but no one admitted to taking them. He suspected a dog but wondered how it could have taken the eggs without knocking over the pot.
He then repositioned the CCTV and boiled two eggs to leave overnight again, hoping to catch the thief in the act. At about 5:50 a.m., the thief appeared—a crow that took one boiled egg before returning at 6:19 a.m. to take the second. He was surprised the thief was actually the crow from next door.
