Named Little Flash: Two-Toed Sloth Offspring of Grandpa Flash at Khao Kheow Open Zoo

The two-toed sloth offspring at Khao Kheow Open Zoo has been named "Little Flash," heir to Grandpa "Flash" and mother "Elsa," following a naming vote that received an overwhelming 25,287 votes.

On 28 April 2026, reporters reported that at Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Si Racha district, Chonburi province, Mr. Narongwit Chodchoi, director of Khao Kheow Open Zoo, revealed that the zoo welcomed a new member—a male two-toed sloth—and has allowed visitors to admire its charm since 17 March 2026.

Recently, the zoo organized a public naming vote via the Facebook page "Khao Kheow Open Zoo," offering four name options: Fast, Thunder, Diesel, and Little Flash. The event attracted significant interest from children, youth, and tourists nationwide, with over 63,334 votes cast.

The results showed that the name "Little Flash" received the highest number of votes, totaling 25,287, and was officially chosen as the name of the two-toed sloth offspring.

This two-toed sloth offspring is the descendant of father "Flash," aged 30, and mother "Elsa," aged 6, both of whom received their names from Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Phannawadee in late 2024.

Additionally, the event included a prize draw offering one cash prize of 3,000 baht and five two-toed sloth plush toys. The zoo will randomly select winners from those who voted for the name "Little Flash" and announce the results on 6 May 2026 via the Facebook page: Khao Kheow Open Zoo.
