The Meteorological Department issued Announcement No. 8 warning of a "summer storm" Check the provinces expected to be affected by "heavy rain and strong winds"


1 May 2026 GMT+7The Meteorological Department websiteannounced "Summer storm over upper Thailand (effective until 1 May 2026) Announcement No. 8" It states that on 1 May 2026, the northern, northeastern, eastern, and central regions, including Bangkok and its vicinity, will continue to experience summer storms characterized by thunderstorms and some areas with strong gusty winds and possible lightning. This is due to high pressure or cold air masses from China still covering the northeastern region and the South China Sea, while upper Thailand remains hot to very hot.

Residents in these areas are advised to be cautious of the dangers from the summer storm by avoiding open spaces, staying away from large trees, weak structures, and billboards. Farmers should reinforce fruit trees and prepare to prevent damage to agricultural products and livestock, as well as take care of their health during this weather change.
