Red Shirts from Korat and Khon Kaen Charter Vans to Join Activity Awaiting Thaksins Freedom

This evening, 10 May 2026, Red Shirt supporters gradually gathered in front of Klong Prem Prison to join the activity awaiting Thaksin Shinawatra’s parole and restoration of freedom, while Red Shirts from Korat and Khon Kaen chartered vans to travel this evening.

On 10 May 2026, reporters noted that this evening outside Klong Prem Prison, Red Shirt crowds continued arriving to join the activity awaiting the release of Thaksin Shinawatra, who will be granted parole and released tomorrow.

The Red Shirt group agreed to gather and hung a vinyl banner on the pedestrian bridge in front of the prison stating, “Welcome to the beloved former Prime Minister Dr. Thaksin Shinawatra,” amid intermittent rain causing the crowd to take shelter inside tents.

At 16:30, Mr. Kor Kaew Pikulthong distributed lottery tickets to Red Shirts waiting to welcome Thaksin outside the prison.

Meanwhile, Mr. Boonsom Sawangjit, a Red Shirt leader from Nakhon Ratchasima and Khon Kaen, chartered a van to join other Red Shirts from across the country. Mr. Boonsom said he was glad to meet former Prime Minister Thaksin, who is a good man who has greatly benefited the nation, and he hopes Thaksin will return to help solve Thailand’s economic problems again.

This evening, Red Shirt leaders from Nakhon Ratchasima and Khon Kaen, about 200 people, will join activities with Red Shirts nationwide. They plan to stay overnight awaiting Thaksin’s release from prison and to join him in paying respect to the Thai national flag tomorrow morning.

Mr. Natthawut Saiyaku, who arrived at Klong Prem Prison and after giving a media interview, distributed boxed meals to Red Shirts gathered at the site. It was noticeable that Mr. Natthawut appeared quite cheerful today.
