Tour operator "Love Andaman" explains incident speedboat fire docked at Ao Makham Pier in Phuket; confirms no injuries, investigation ongoing
Regarding the fire incident involving a speedboat owned by the well-known tour company “Love Andaman” while docked at Ao Makham, Phuket Province, on the evening of 10 May 2026, which was nearly completely destroyed, officials are currently investigating the cause as previously reported.
On 11 May 2026, Love Andaman issued a statement detailing the incident to provide accurate information to the public and tourists. They confirmed the boat involved belonged to the company and that at the time of the fire no employees or passengers were on board, resulting in no injuries and 100 percent safety for everyone.
Furthermore, the boat was the only one moored at the buoy, so the fire did not spread to other vessels. Officials from the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization and rescue teams quickly responded and successfully controlled the fire. An initial investigation into the exact cause of the blaze is underway.
The company expressed gratitude to all involved parties, including the Pearl Center of the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization, for their prompt assistance and effective management of the situation.
