"The King" has issued a royal command granting ecclesiastical titles. The title is "Phra Ratchakhana." A total of three monks were granted this title.
On 11 May 2026 GMT+7,the Royal Gazette websitepublished the announcement of the royal command granting ecclesiastical titles. It states that His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun has graciously issued a royal command granting the ecclesiastical title 'Phra Ratchakhana' to three monks as follows.
1. Phra Kru Sophon Khunatharn from Sali Temple, Suphanburi Province, is granted the third-class Phra Ratchakhana title with the name Phra Sophon Wachirathada.
2. Phra Kru Kowit Sutakarn from Khok Khema Temple, Nakhon Pathom Province, is granted the third-class Phra Ratchakhana title with the name Phra Watchara Thammakowit.
3. Phra Kru Sorapanya Phisut from Mai Thepnimit Temple, Bangkok, is granted the third-class Phra Ratchakhana title with the name Phra Watchara Panyasuthee.
These appointments are effective from 9 May 2026 GMT+7. The announcement was made on 11 May 2026 GMT+7, the 11th year of the current reign.
