15 May 2026 GMT+7Meteorological DepartmentThe Meteorological Department issued Announcement No. 6 regarding heavy to very heavy rain over Thailand and strong winds in the Andaman Sea, effective until 18 May 2026.

It states that Thailand is experiencing increasing rain with heavy to very heavy showers in the northern, central, eastern, and southern regions. Residents in these areas should be cautious of dangers from heavy rainfall and accumulated rain that may cause flash floods and flash floods, especially in foothill areas near waterways and low-lying zones. In the lower Andaman Sea, from Krabi province southwards, and the upper Gulf of Thailand, waves are about 2 meters, rising above 2 meters in stormy zones. Mariners in these areas should navigate carefully and avoid sailing in stormy conditions. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea are advised to remain ashore.
