
Officials from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation reported eight fatalities in a collision between a train and a bus The victims are undergoing detailed identification, with a firm commitment to assist in returning the bodies to their families free of charge.

Recently, Piyalak Thinkaeo, Operations Chief of the Ruamkatanyu Foundation, stated that after the incident, personnel from various agencies including public and private hospitals, rescue units, and related organizations promptly arrived at the scene to assist victims.
Initially, about 25 injured people were taken to nearby hospitals. The deceased are currently undergoing a thorough identification process involving forensic officers, medical examiners, and rescue personnel working carefully and meticulously.
Officials require time to collect information and evidence at the site because this was a severe accident, necessitating cautious procedures to ensure the victims’ identities are confirmed accurately.
Preliminary checks revealed most of the deceased were inside the passenger bus. The exact cause and details of the incident remain under investigation by the relevant authorities.
Regarding moving the bodies and reopening traffic, officials are assessing the safety of the accident site and examining the structures of the bus and train to prevent hazards during recovery operations.
The injured have been distributed to multiple hospitals for treatment, ranging from minor and moderate injuries to some in critical condition.
However, the Ruamkatanyu Foundation confirmed it will assist in returning the bodies to their families at no cost once the forensic identification process is complete.
