
Accident "Train collides with bus" Rescue teams are currently recovering the bodies of those who died inside the bus. The total number of injured stands at 32, who have been distributed to nearby hospitals. Among them, 2 are in severe condition (red cases).
On 16 May 2026, a cargo train originating from Chachoengsao Province and bound for Bang Sue Station collided with an air-conditioned bus on route 206, traveling from Mega Bangna to Bang Khen, near the Airport Rail Link Makkasan Station. The collision caused a severe fire engulfing the bus, resulting in 8 deaths and numerous injuries, as previously reported.
At 18:00, reporters confirmed that there were 32 injured from the incident. Of these, 15 were green cases: 1 sent to Phetchabhet Hospital, 7 to Camillian Hospital, 1 to Phyathai (Phaholyothin) Hospital, 1 to Chulalongkorn Hospital, 3 unknown hospital destinations, and 1 discharged home.
Fifteen yellow cases were reported: 4 sent to Phetchabhet Hospital, 7 to Camillian Hospital, 1 to Phyathai Phaholyothin Hospital, 2 to Phramongkutklao Hospital, and 1 to Rajavithi Hospital.
Two red cases, critically injured, were sent to Chulalongkorn Hospital and Ramathibodi Hospital, one patient to each.
Regarding the deceased, officials are still in the process of identifying the bodies. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
At 18:10, reporters noted that authorities began installing lighting and were gradually removing the bodies from the bus wreckage for identification, as all the corpses were severely burned.
Later, at 19:10, rescue teams transported the eight bodies to the Police General Hospital for identification and to notify relatives. The bodies were moved in a convoy of over 10 Ruamkatanyu Foundation vehicles en route to the hospital.
