On 17 May 2026 CE, the Office of the Chularatchamontri issued an announcement regarding the first day of Dhu al-Hijjah and Eid al-Adha in Hijri year 1447. It stated that, as previously advised, Muslim brothers and sisters across Thailand observed the moon on Sunday, 17 May 2026 CE after sunset to determine the first day of Dhu al-Hijjah, Hijri 1447. It was found that no one sighted the moon.
Therefore, it is announced that the first day of Dhu al-Hijjah, Hijri 1447, corresponds to Tuesday, 19 May 2026 CE, and Eid al-Adha, Hijri 1447, falls on Thursday, 28 May 2026 CE.
