On 18 May 2026, the Earthquake Monitoring Division of the Meteorological Department reported that at 09:05 GMT+7, a 5.3 magnitude earthquake occurred near the southern coast of Myanmar. The epicenter was 10 km underground, located about 247 km southwest of Mae Sot district, Tak province.
