Thai kindness never runs out. A Chinese woman was found crying by the roadside after losing her bag. Additionally, 20,000 baht in cash blew onto the road. Good Samaritans helped search for about an hour until all the money and the lost bag were recovered.
On 25 May 2026, it was reported that at 19:30 on the previous day (24 May), Mr. Mongkol Khiewsa-at, a rescue worker from Chachoengsao, was driving home via Theparat Road (Bangna-Trad) at kilometer 44-45 on the expressway heading into Chonburi, in Moo 12, Bang Pakong Subdistrict, Bang Pakong District, Chachoengsao Province. He saw Ms. Qiuta, a 28-year-old Chinese national, sitting and crying beside a black Honda Super Cub motorcycle registered in Bangkok. He quickly stopped and got out to ask her about the situation.
He noticed another vehicle belonging to a Good Samaritan parked nearby, along with about 5-6 locals walking along the roadside. It was learned that Ms. Qiuta was riding a motorcycle carrying a bag and belongings to travel to Bang Saen. However, at the scene, her bag fell and about 20,000 baht in cash scattered on the road, causing her great stress fearing she would not recover the money.
Mr. Mongkol, the Good Samaritans, and journalists helped search for the money among the grass for about an hour until all 20,000 baht was found, bringing great relief to Ms. Qiuta along with the bag containing important items.
Ms. Qiuta said she was crying because she feared losing her belongings, money, and important documents, which would cause her significant hardship. She did not expect that everyone would help find all the money. She then planned to continue her trip to Bang Saen and expressed her gratitude to everyone who assisted.
