At 11:00 p.m. on 27 May 2026, Bang Srimuang Police Station received a report of a motorcycle being hit by a pickup truck, resulting in one death. The incident occurred near the Bang Rak Noi Bridge on outbound Ratchaphruek Road, heading toward Road 345, Bang Rak Noi Subdistrict, Mueang Nonthaburi District, Nonthaburi Province. The deceased was later identified as Mr. Sornnarind Nakongsee, 43, a rider. On the leftmost lane of the road, his left arm was found severed. About 300 meters ahead, the damaged electric motorcycle was found parked.
The other party involved was Mr. Jarong, Director of the Bureau of Investigation and Special Affairs and serving as deputy spokesperson of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC). Alcohol testing showed his blood alcohol level exceeded the legal limit, as previously reported.
At 2:00 a.m. on 28 May 2026, at Bang Srimuang Police Station, Ms. Wiyada Nakongsee, 49, the deceased’s sister and a single mother, arrived and revealed that her younger brother had two children, aged 21 and 20. His granddaughter lives with her. Usually, her brother worked through an app. The last time they spoke was 2-3 days prior when he visited her home. She asked if he could manage his responsibilities, and he said yes, as he had debts and needed to pay for land in Suphanburi so his children would have a home. He had to work hard. She expressed deep sorrow and could not accept what happened.
Regarding the perpetrator’s claim of holding a high-ranking government position, she said she did not care and would pursue the case to the end. No matter how influential he was, she would not back down because there were witnesses to the incident and video evidence. She did not care about anyone’s status.
