The ongoing drama involves a mother abandoning her 10-year-old son, stirring public sympathy. It has now been discovered that she also left her 7-year-old son at her stepfather's friend's house. The younger boy was found crying and missing his mother, prompting rescue teams to intervene.
On 29 May 2026, reporters updated the case of a 10-year-old boy abandoned by his mother at the bus stop of the Sri Thep fresh market in Sar Khuad subdistrict, Sri Thep district, Phetchabun province. The mother and her youngest child took a vehicle back to their home in Chonburi province. Fortunately, rescue workers and local residents came to the boy's aid.
It was recently revealed that the 10-year-old boy was not the only child abandoned by the mother. She also left her 7-year-old middle son at her stepfather's friend's house. The Phetchabun Provincial Child and Family Shelter coordinated with rescue teams to assist the boy immediately. Upon arrival at the stepfather's friend's home, rescuers found the child in very poor emotional condition, crying continuously and missing his mother, which was heartbreaking.
Mr. Nattakijinan Yodsai, also known as Chang Bia, the owner of the social media post and a rescue official from Kok Sai Rescue Team, Sri Thep district, said he was contacted to pick up the child and take him to the Phetchabun Provincial Child and Family Shelter. When he arrived at the stepfather's friend's house where the mother had left the child, the boy was crying and longing for his mother. He tried to comfort the boy by letting him speak with his grandmother on the phone, but the child continued to cry, showing severe emotional distress. The stepfather was not present, and his whereabouts were unknown.
Regarding the eldest son abandoned at the bus stop, the Child and Family Shelter in Chonburi has already traveled to Mo Chit bus terminal to pick him up and bring him back to Chonburi. It is expected that he has safely arrived there by now.
