
Sarath Ratanavadi met with the President of Vietnam during a visit to Thailand, reaffirming commitment to develop a strategic partnership to enhance Vietnam's long-term energy security.
On 28 May at the ballroom of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Bangkok, Mr. Sarath Ratanavadi, CEO of Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF), held a private meeting with Mr. To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, during Mr. To Lam's official visit to Thailand as a guest of the government.
On this occasion, Mr. Sarath reaffirmed GULF's commitment to developing a strategic partnership that will support Vietnam's long-term energy security through investments in renewable energy projects and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Mr. To Lam confirmed that Vietnam is ready to facilitate investors who possess strong capabilities, expertise, and long-term business vision. He invited GULF to invest in Vietnam while maintaining standards of social and environmental responsibility, as well as transferring technology and developing local workforce capabilities.
