The Meteorological Department issued its 7th announcement warning of heavy to very heavy rain. The Andaman Sea will experience waves 2 to 3 meters high, with impacts lasting until 1 June 2026 GMT+7.


On 30 May 2026 GMT+7, the Meteorological Department announced its 7th report on heavy to very heavy rain over Thailand and strong winds over the Andaman Sea, effective until 1 June 2026 GMT+7.

Thailand continues to experience persistent rainfall, including some heavy rain and very heavy rain in areas of the south, east, western north, and central regions. This is due to a strong southwest monsoon covering the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand, combined with a monsoon trough crossing northern Thailand. Residents across Thailand are advised to prepare and be cautious of heavy to very heavy rain and accumulated rainfall, which may cause flash floods and flash floods, especially in vulnerable areas near waterways and lowlands.

Regarding waves and winds in the upper Andaman Sea, from Phuket Province northwards, conditions are fairly strong, with waves 2 to 3 meters high and waves exceeding 3 meters in areas of thunderstorms. The lower Andaman Sea, from Krabi Province southwards, and the upper Gulf of Thailand have waves about 2 meters high, with waves over 2 meters in thunderstorm areas.

Mariners in these areas are advised to navigate with caution and avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea should refrain from leaving the shore during these days.
