This is due to the southwest monsoon covering the Andaman Sea, the southern region, and the Gulf of Thailand with considerable strength, combined with a monsoon trough passing through upper Thailand. The public in Thailand is advised to prepare for dangers from heavy to very heavy rain and accumulated rainfall that may cause flash floods and flash floods, especially in high-risk areas near waterways and lowlands.

For the upper Andaman Sea, from Phuket province northwards, winds are quite strong with waves 2-3 meters high; in areas with thunderstorms, waves exceed 3 meters. In the lower Andaman Sea, from Krabi province southwards, waves reach about 2 meters, with waves over 2 meters in thunderstorm areas. Mariners in these areas should navigate with caution and avoid sailing in areas with thunderstorms. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea should refrain from venturing out during this period.
