Police at Samrong Tai Station arrested a 38-year-old man who sent Line messages requesting intimacy with his biological mother. The mother feared for her safety and reported the matter to authorities. The man admitted to the behavior, explaining he had just used methamphetamine that morning.
According to a Facebook page "Kanjomphalang Foundation for Fighting" which posted that a 38-year-old son, under the influence of drugs, experienced delusions and asked his mother for intimacy. He reportedly told neighbors they were husband and wife, but his gaze showed lust rather than seeing her as his mother. Sometimes he experienced hallucinations, auditory illusions, and violent moods.
After the post was widely shared, many people commented expressing sympathy for the mother.
Regarding this matter, at 17:30 on 3 June 2026, the investigation team at Samrong Tai Police Station took into custody Mr. Nueng (alias), 38, the man who sent Line messages to his mother requesting intimacy. His mother had filed a complaint with Samrong Tai Police and sought assistance from "Kan Jomphalang" to help track the case, fearing for her safety.
Preliminary investigation indicates Mr. Nueng may be charged with sexual harassment of another person, as his actions caused the victim to be unable to live a normal life. The penalty includes imprisonment up to two years, a fine up to 40,000 baht, or both.
Pol. Col. Piyawat Patcharaniyatham, Superintendent of Samrong Tai Police Station, along with Pol. Lt. Col. Adul Mongkoljaroen, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation, Pol. Lt. Col. Piyawat Kanya, Investigation Officer, Pol. Sub Lt. Sitthichai Phakdee, Deputy Investigation Officer, and the investigation team arrested Mr. Nueng on charges of sexual harassment at the old Phra Khanong Canal community, Soi On Nut 49, Suan Luang Subdistrict, Suan Luang District, Bangkok.
While being taken to Samrong Tai Police Station, Mr. Nueng was still hallucinating and incoherent. He confessed to having used methamphetamine that morning and admitted to sending Line messages requesting intimacy with his mother. Police detained him, awaiting improvement of his condition before further interrogation and legal action.
