
Prepare to clear your home as the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration proceeds with organizing an eventcalled “Scheduled Large Waste Disposal.”This annual 2026 activity aims to help residents conveniently dispose of large unwanted items that cannot be discarded with regular trash, such as sofas, mattresses, tables, chairs, or broken electrical appliances, free of charge on Saturday 6 June and Sunday 7 June 2026, covering 27 districts throughout Bangkok.

Residents should place large waste and unwanted items at the designated collection points in front of their homes before 08:30 a.m. to await collection by officials between 09:00 and 12:00.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration is set to collect large waste on 6-7 June, with different districts scheduled each day. Confirm the dates and district locations as follows:

It is recommended that residents sort large waste properly before disposal, such as furniture, electrical appliances, or sports equipment larger than 1 meter, which should be cut into smaller pieces. Heavier items should be separated, and smaller waste tied together neatly. Bring your ID card to show the staff (electricity or water bills may be accepted as identification).
1. Bring waste to the designated collection point.
2. Present proof of identity to confirm ownership.
3. Officials will collect and transport the waste to disposal sites at no charge.
Additionally, if you have a large amount of bulky waste and live far from the scheduled collection points, you can contact the cleaning and public parks department of any district office for service, subject to a government-regulated fee. Warning: Improper disposal obstructs Bangkok’s drainage system and is punishable by a fine under the Cleanliness Act of 2,000 bahtifdisposed outside containers or designated points. A fine of 10,000 baht applies for dumping waste into waterways under the Criminal Code, Section 380.
