People have gathered to pay their respects in front of the portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha in the first-floor hall of the Phumisirimangalanusorn Building at Chulalongkorn Hospital.
According to a statement from the Royal Household Bureau on 12 June 2026, Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati Krom Luang Rajsarinisiri Patchra Mahavajrarajadhida passed away after losing consciousness due to heart-related illness. She had been receiving treatment at Chulalongkorn Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society, since 15 December 2022, as previously announced periodically by the Royal Household Bureau.
The latest update, as of 16:00, officials from the Royal Household Bureau and Chulalongkorn Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society, have opened the area for the public to pay respects before the portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati Krom Luang Rajsarinisiri Patchra Mahavajrarajadhida in the first-floor hall of the Phumisirimangalanusorn Building at Chulalongkorn Hospital until 19:00. People have continuously come to pay homage in front of the portrait.
The public will be able to pay respects before the portrait daily until 26 June 2026, from 08:00 to 17:00.
