24-hour weather forecast (15 June 2026)Thailand will have thunderstorms and heavy rain in some areas of the North, upper Northeast, and East due to a moderate southwest monsoon covering the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand, combined with a low-pressure cell over northern Vietnam. Residents in these areas are advised to prepare for dangers from heavy and accumulated rain that may cause flash floods and forest runoff, especially in vulnerable areas near waterways and lowlands.

Waves and winds over the upper Andaman Sea are moderate, with wave heights of 1-2 meters, while the lower Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand have waves about 1 meter high. In areas with thunderstorms, waves can exceed 2 meters. Mariners in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand should navigate cautiously and avoid sailing in stormy areas.

7-day weather forecastFrom 15–16 and 20–21 June 2026, upper Thailand will experience thunderstorms and heavy rain in some places due to a moderate southwest monsoon covering the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand, along with a low-pressure cell over northern Vietnam.

From 17–19 June 2026, the North and Northeast regions will see heavy to very heavy rain in some areas. The Central region, including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East, and the South, will also have heavy rain in some places. This is due to a monsoon trough passing through the upper North and northern Laos, along with a moderate southwest monsoon still covering the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand, extending to a low-pressure cell over northern Vietnam.

Waves and winds over the upper Andaman Sea remain moderate, with wave heights of 1–2 meters, while the lower Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand have waves around 1 meter. In areas with thunderstorms, waves can exceed 2 meters during this period.

Precautions: From 17–19 June 2026, residents across Thailand, especially in the North and upper Northeast, should beware of heavy to very heavy rain and accumulated rainfall that may cause flash floods, forest runoff, and river overflow, particularly in foothill areas near waterways and lowlands.

Mariners in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand should navigate cautiously and avoid sailing in stormy areas throughout this period.
