Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) issued its second statement appointing a fact-finding committee to investigate the local government exam cheating case, with a deadline to complete the inquiry within 7 days. The university has already submitted all related evidence to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) and affirmed that if any wrongdoing is found, it will be dealt with firmly according to the law.

The case arose when NACC officials, together with the Central Investigation Bureau's Anti-Corruption Division, busted a gang involved in cheating on the local civil servant recruitment exam. They raided a company in Bang Yai District, Nonthaburi Province, where suspects were caught using computers to alter exam answer sheets for candidates who paid bribes. Over ten accomplices were arrested, mostly government officials. Authorities are preparing to expand the investigation to prosecute all involved, as previously reported.

The latest update: On 26 June 2026, Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) released its second statement providing progress on the case involving the Office of Educational and Psychological Testing's administration of the local exam. The university stressed its awareness of the case's societal importance and potential impact on public trust. Consequently, SWU has taken the following actions.

Next, the university assigned the director of the Office of Educational and Psychological Testing, along with relevant staff, to collect all necessary information, documents, and evidence for the investigation. The collected materials have been forwarded as requested to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC). The university is prepared to fully cooperate with all agencies conducting the inquiry.

Finally, the university pledges full cooperation in the investigation and confirms it will act based on facts and evidence uncovered. If the inquiry finds clear proof that anyone violated laws, regulations, or was involved in corrupt activities, the university will take strict action according to its authority and applicable laws.

The university reaffirms its commitment to reviewing operations of its supervised agencies with integrity and adherence to good governance principles. It will fully support the fact-finding process to ensure fairness for all exam candidates. The university does not tolerate actions that violate laws, regulations, governance principles, or its ethical standards and will enforce its authority firmly. It will also provide ongoing updates to the public on the investigation's progress.
