On 26 Jun 2026, Major General Winthai Suwaree, Army spokesperson, addressed the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' statement regarding Thai activities along the border from 18–22 Jun 2026 near Ban Nong Jan, Sa Kaeo Province, saying
the operations conducted by the Thai army in that area were security support missions carried out strictly within Thailand’s sovereign boundaries, denying Cambodia's claims of territorial encroachment. These actions comply with the framework agreement jointly established by both parties on 27 Dec 2025.
