27 June 2026 GMT+7 Meteorological Department Announcement regarding "Heavy to very heavy rainfall over Thailand and strong winds in the upper Andaman Sea, Announcement No. 3 (93/2569), effective from 28 June to 3 July 2026." It states that from 28 June to 3 July 2026, Thailand will experience increased rainfall with heavy to very heavy rain in some areas.

Particularly in the eastern region and the western coast of the south, due to a monsoon trough crossing the north and upper northeast, combined with the southwest monsoon covering the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand intensifying. Residents in these areas should be alert to dangers from heavy to very heavy rainfall and accumulated rain that may cause flash floods and mountain runoff, especially in foothill areas near waterways and lowlands.

Waves and winds in the upper Andaman Sea will be quite strong from 29 June to 3 July 2026, with waves 2-3 meters high; in areas with thunderstorms, waves may exceed 3 meters. The lower Andaman Sea and upper Gulf of Thailand will have waves about 2 meters high, with waves exceeding 2 meters in thunderstorms. Mariners in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand should navigate cautiously and avoid sailing in thunderstorms. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea are advised to refrain from leaving shore during this period.
